The Northern Flowers are taking an active part in producing “A Night of Music” in Gatchina, a gala concert to be held on the night of July 7-8 at White Lake in the Gatchina Park. For five hours in the open air of St. Petersburg’s white night, two symphony orchestras and one brass band will perform music of Sergey Rachmaninoff and composers of his times. The St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Vladimir Lande, the Karelian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will be headed by Yuri Serov, and the Admiralty Orchestra of the Leningrad Naval Base will play under the baton of Sergey Aleyev and Valentin Lyashchenko.
