Piotr Migunov
Born in 1974 in St. Petersburg, he graduated from the Glinka Choir College in Choir Conducting, and then from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire of St. Petersburg, this time as a vocalist (with V. Lebed). Currently, he is a postgraduate of the Conservatoire (with Professor N.P. Okhotnikov).
From 1993 and until recently, Mr. Migunov was with the Academic Choir Chapel of St. Petersburg as one of the key soloists.
He has performed solo parts in Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart's Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Bach’s Mass in B minor, and Rakhmaninov’s Chimes, as well as many important parts of bass repertoire on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater of St. Petersburg Conservatoire.
Piotr Migunov won awards of five prestigious international vocal competitions. He has performed his recitals at many concert halls of Russia and other countries. In 2000 Mr. Migunov had his debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York. In 2003 Piotr Migunov became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
